CGT 341: Lab 02 "Ball 'n Box"

Here is our latest lab assignment for our animation class. I got a little deeper into Mental Ray and got reacquainted with After Effects since the end of CGT 241. Although, after looking around I probably should have used Premiere for the post-work.

CGT 341: Lab 01

Our first lab assignment in our animation class this semester is to create the illusion of rubber, lead, and helium.

The goal of this project was to utilize Squash & Stretch, Weight, and Timing effectively to show three different objects within 5 seconds.

Character Design Project

Below are my sketches and character turnaround for the final project in our Creative Design class: "Aggie." This character is basically an older toy (ragdoll) that tends to take the role as the "mother of the toybox." I plan on developing this character even further during the summer.

"Rocky and Trusdale"

Well. I've stalled long enough. Below is my first animated short that was produced in CGT 241 at IUPUI. We were given one semester to create an animated short from concept to creation.

The feel of the story is something that you would expect from something like Tom and Jerry. My story is about two dinosaurs: Rocky the T. Rex and Trusdale the Parasaurolophus, and how Rocky has his eyes set on Trusdale being lunch. However, Trusdale uses his cleverness to get out of the situation.

Almost There!

Well, I have almost completed my animated short. Working on the sound as I type this. Below are some more teaser images to enjoy until the deadline this Thursday. Mark your calenders! :)

A Little Teaser...of sorts

I'm in the process of animating my B-hind off right now for my introduction to animation class. However, as seeing I haven't shown much of my project since the animatic stage, here is a revolve of my T. Rex: "Rocky" with model/wireframe/textured views. It is the same one that was shown at the SIGGRAPH IUPUI Student Exhibition last Friday (which by the way was an AWESOME event).

Here is the latest project from my advanced design class. We were to select a piece of audio and animate text to it. I chose an excerpt from "Beauty and the Beast." This dialogue sequence is where Beast becomes angry about Belle not coming to dinner. Anywho, here it is:
